My name is Amy Spivia and I am submitting this story and picture for my friends Eduardo and Marlene Gerardo with their full consent. I met Eduardo almost 15 years ago because he reached out to the community through his church, The Good Shepherd, and desperately needed help with his beloved wife Adah. Adah was pregnant and suffering from ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease and physically not capable of taking care of their son Christofer nor herself at the time. Close to 50 individuals helped to take care of them and she lived until he was five years old. She passed in December of 2007. Eduardo waited for the perfect bride and mother for 8 long years after Adah's passing. With friends and family gathered on June 11, 2016, Eduardo married his princess and they plan on living happily ever after. He gained an adorable daughter April through the marriage. I just know Adah is smiling down from heaven knowing how happy they all are to find happiness and love. |
